The process development programs are designed to maximize fermentation process performance with GBL strains and feedstocks (maximizing yield, titer and productivity) at the lowest cost and with minimum negative environmental and social impact.
GBL has developed a range of advanced fermentation solutions to increase product titer, yield and productivity from a range of renewable feedstocks. Further development will bring these high performance processes to market.
GBL is also developing process solutions for in situ product recovery and concentration, and water recovery and recycle. These advances reduce the energy usage and environmental impacts of producing renewable industrial chemicals.
